Ralph F. Hirschmann, the firm's founder, is a former federal prosecutor with thirty years of civil and criminal litigation experience.

Mr. Hirschmann received his J.D. degree from Yale Law School in 1978. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University in 1975, majoring in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs with a concentration in economics.

From 1984 to 1987, Mr. Hirschmann served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles, where he tried many criminal cases in the United States District Court and argued numerous appeals in the United States Court of Appeals. As a federal prosecutor, he concentrated on complex criminal cases involving business crimes, including government fraud and public corruption. He was a member of the Government Frauds and Political Corruption Unit of the United States Attorney's Office.

In 1992, Mr. Hirschmann started the predecessor of Hirschmann Law Group. He has developed a diverse litigation practice in the areas of complex business disputes, white collar crime, business torts, class actions, securities litigation, securities litigation and enforcement, employment law, banking litigation, and internal corporate investigations. He has defended clients in prosecutions and investigations on subjects including securities fraud, criminal tax, health care, wire and mail fraud, government contract fraud, environmental crimes and criminal antitrust matters.

Mr. Hirschmann is a member of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County and American Bar Associations. He has been selected repeatedly as a Southern California Super Lawyer and was selected recently for the premier, national Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition. He also has been active in numerous pro bono and community activities, including more than ten years' service as a member of the Board of Directors of the Pasadena Playhouse.
